Tools for Learning Disorder

I have no idea if I will be teaching children with disorders. This video showed me many tools I can use for those children if this does happen. The app I learned about that I thought was the coolest was the scheduling app called I Get...My Schedules at School. This app lets a parent or teacher create a whole schedule for a student with disabilities. It can be made as detailed as needed. I think that is really awesome for a student who needs that kind of structure. I also think this app may be good for every student. Children sometimes have a lot of trouble remembering what they are suppose to do. This app would allow the parents to help their students at home and me to help them in the classroom with things they may forget to do. It can even be password protected so other students cannot change anything or mess with it. Another really cool app I learned about was, Simplex Spelling. It helps with reading and spelling skills. If a students struggles in either of those areas, I can let them use this app for extra help. The app goes so far as to tell the user spelling rules to why words are spelled how they are. One more app I learned about was called Dexteria and Dexteria Jr. It helps with motor skill development, handwriting, and coordination. This app does cost money, but if a student has these issues I believe it would be worth it. It helps with these skills with fun and entertaining activities that students will love. I think all three of these apps would be a great way to help students who cannot learn the normal way or even just students who are struggling in those certain areas. I would wait to see if I actually taught any children with these kind of set backs. If I did, I would look into getting them these apps in hopes that it would help with their troubles.
